A Heart To Revitalize Me: The Magic Accounts 4.5 (The Magi Accounts Companion Stories) Kindle Edition
Lately my straight best friend has been very… handsy, which is killing me because I’ve been in love with the idiot for years.
I love my best friend, I always have, but I never wanted him to realize just how much. He’s never seemed to notice before, but since he broke up with his girlfriend, he’s been really clingy. Like way more than I’ve ever seen.
I love it. And it’s killing me.
What I really want is all those cuddles and sweet touches to mean more than they do. I have to keep reminding my heart that everything Haiden is doing is platonic, even if it feels like it isn’t. Unfortunately for me, my stupid heart doesn’t stop hoping for more.
A Heart To Revitalize Me is a MM urban fantasy romance companion novel meant to be read AFTER A Ruse To Unchain Us (The Magi Accounts 4). This is Logan and Haiden’s story and takes place between books 4 and 5 of the main series. It’s the last Magi Accounts Companion Stories novel and is meant to be read as part of the series, not by itself, although the love story is resolved in this book.

About the author

Michele is married to an awesome guy that puts up with her and all the burnt dinners she makes—hey, sometimes characters are a bit distracting, and who doesn’t plot when they’re supposed to be cooking? They live together in Baltimore, Maryland with two little monsters, a three-legged princess, a four-legged goofball, and a cutie with giant ears (aka their two kids, their two cats, and their dog). She hopes to rescue another cat soon, and if her hubby wouldn’t kill her, she’d get more than one… and maybe a few more dogs as well.
She loves creating worlds filled with lots of love, chosen family, and of course, magic, but she also likes making the characters fight for that happy ending. She hopes to one day write all the stories in her head—even if there are too many to count!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2024Hay and Lo get their story! I was so excited for this one! And it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was an emotional roller coaster filled with super sweet moments to some heartbreaking ones but as always there was a HEA!
Tropes for these one were: friends to lovers, sappy sweet, steamy, fast-paced, hurt/comfort, mage/shifter, miscommunication, and so much more fun!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025It's so sweet and in such a dark series, definitely needed. I devoured Hay and Logan's story. Loved it so much.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2024This partially runs parallel with the last book but is more focused on the relationship than the over arching plot. There is some angst and tragedy but mostly it was them finding their way together. I kind of appreciated that the young adults acted like their age a few times and not the grown ups they’ve had to be one early. There were some questionable choices but it all worked out.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2023This was another perfect book by one of my favorite authors. The duel POV makes it even better because you see that they are both pining for each other. And boy was there pining, some lord help these two, lots of laughs and some tears. So keep the tissues close. It was everything I expected from Michele and so much more. And get on with giving that certain someone their HEA Ma'am. 😉 😂 If you've the other books in this series this is a must read.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 26, 2024I absolutely loved their love story. I'm in love with this series and I'm so excited for the 5th book but also so sad that the journey is coming to an end.

I had a major problem with Book 3.5 because of the miscommunication trope that resulted in River, Jude, and Kulani spending most of the book not even realizing that they wanted to date. That did NOT happen here.
The trope made an appearance, but this may be the only time I’ve ever enjoyed it. It was so funny to watch Logan doing mental gymnastics to convince himself that the dates, which totally felt like dates, weren’t actually dates. (*whisper* No one else was fooled.)
I really appreciate that Logan didn’t wallow in his confusion. He talked to someone about his concerns, was advised to talk to Hayden, and then-amazingly-had a direct conversation with the relevant person about their behavior. *color me shocked* That almost never happens, but I sure do love it when it does! Let’s hear it for open, honest, and direct communication! Hip, hip, hurray!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2024If you like the rest of the Magi series, you will enjoy Hayden and Logan's book as well. However, this is definitely a book where you should read the previous books first as it refers to a lot of events mentioned in the full length novels that would be confusing if you had not read the other books. The actual story between Hayden and Logan was sweet and a little comical as Hayden learned to self analyze and they learned to communicate. Logan in particular has been a favorite since the first book in the series and I was so happy to see him get his own happy ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2023I have been waiting for Logan and Haiden to get together for the past couple books and I am thrilled they finally found happiness together.
I enjoyed that a good chunk of the first part of the book takes place in the same timeline as the last so we can see that time from different POVs before things change. There’s a big shocker that shook me to my core which brings our young men even closer together. This is an excellent companion novel that gave me what I was wanting in terms of them getting together even though Logan was super slow on realizing he was being romanced lol but his wondering and questioning did get a little repetitive before they finally got on the same page. I can’t believe there’s only one book left in this series! This cannot be read as a standalone.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great companion novel focussing on a romance
4.5/5 This romance definitely felt like it was a long time coming. I wasn’t super comfortable with Hayden having a girlfriend in the last book because she seemed so often to be an afterthought. I was glad that it was resolved here, and Hayden was honest about what he felt (once he figured it out, lol).
The dating misunderstanding was ridiculous but weirdly plausible given their two characters. Logan is way more uncertain and used to hiding how he feels, while Hayden jumps in with both feet and thinks things are obvious. I’m glad it didn’t go on for longer than it did, but it was entertaining. It did help underscore what good friends they were and how deep their connection was already.
The drama in the last part of the book was painful but on par with the series. I was actually really glad that Logan and Hayden’s plan was revealed before execution. Their point was maybe not completely invalid, but it honestly made them seem really young to me. Getting it out there and dealing with it beforehand seemed much better to me!
I’m so glad these two figured themselves out. They definitely belong together. :)
Looking forward to the last book and figuring things out with the Red Cloth (and maybe the Tarragorians??).
I received an ARC from GRR. This is my honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!
I really enjoyed the book. I liked how the story was told from Haiden and Logan's POV when experiencing the events that were covered in the previous novel, which made the remembered scenes even more enjoyable. Their story continues to the present in a very satisfying way, with a few surprises along the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad
Glad these two finally got their own book, I really enjoyed it even though I wasn't sure they were going to make but they got there in the end. Sad the both series are coming to an end.

4.0 out of 5 stars All the love!
Haiden and Logan are so sweet together and have been meant to be from the start!
I loved Logan's development over this series and loved seeing him get his HEA!
I'm not sure the amount of longing teased in the blurb is accurate though. I feel that Haiden realised his feelings early on and was trying to show Logan how he felt rather than just being touchy feely. I loved the dating miscommunication early on but was ever thankful Logan finally spoke up!
Goddess Mads is an extremely stubborn porcupine! I liked that Hay approached Mads to knock some sense into him and hope he thinks twice before "sulking" again.
I love this whole series and am both excited and sad for the last book!!!
I really hope we get Wren's story at some point too!
